He was such a sweetie! I remember the absolute thrill of seeing them drive by our school gates in the Monkee Moblie, the four of them just monkeying around! Lovely tribute, thank you!

Nice to see your mention of Davy Jones.
Very briefly, the first half of my life was totally engulfed in the music industry, lived, breathed, drank and ate it! The second half…well that\s a whole different story. But from the age of 13 that was it, I had found my pathway in life..Music!
In 1969 I went to LA to play the Greek Theatre, after the show Davy Jones (amongst others) came back stage to say hello. From that moment on we just hit it off, and when ever I was in LA (which was only once or twice) he would insist that I stay with him at his place in the Hollywood Hills with him and his family, first wife Linda and baby Tahlia. David was a true gentleman, a Pro, a real nice person. He was never the superstar, always just another nice guy. He has left us too soon, and will be missed by, probably thousands, but let us all spare a thought for his family, his children and his grandchildren God bless him he made a lot of people very happy. RIP David.

Thanks Nancy,
Yes this was very sad. I watched his life story on the BIO channel, and a week later he passed away. He was still actively singing from what I understand. For sure he still was last year when they made the Do-Whop Public Television special. Ever how you spell Do-Whop. Sad,,,real sad.

very nice tribute. I love, love, love the memorabilia. I used to have some of that. Of course the Davy Jones figurine. I even took my lunch to school in a Monkees lunch box!

Now that’s what I would love to stumble upon…the Lunch Box complete with thermos, now, wow, would probably be worth between $400-$800, just guessing, as they once brought a little more than they have recently. Check your mamas addict…lol

Well, I know little about wedding dresses. But, my friend Harry over in Northern Ireland knows quite a bit about them, he’s always posting a good laugh or two also…Checkem out…

Oh my .. are they real? they are sooooo ugly !!!!!

Well, being on Harry’s site…they have to be real…But, if they’re not, somebody seems to be wearing them…Harry’s always got a good joke going on.

Oh, you asked if they are real…Are we still talking about the dresses? Hey, Konstantina, don’t be afraid to visit and leave a comment on Harry’s site…he’s harmless really. He has a lot of good material on his site…wait…not like, Material for dresses, but, anyway, he’s good people and has a lot of good post…and usually good for a laugh or two…if you visit his site he’ll visit yours, but, much like me…probably wont know how to comment a lot about wedding dresses. Anyway, thanks for visiting again, it’s been a while since I’ve seen you around.

This post was so well put together – I loved the memorabilia and all. That old singles record … unreal! Fancy dying at 66 though. How does that happen? If you knew you were going to die at 66 you would…

Thanks for this info! Boycotting the TV news and most of the print media, often leaves me out of the loop for some of these bits of info. I was a great Monkees fan, too! To this day, whenever Hubs and I drive through Clarksville, GA, we start to sing that song! Good memories. Do you know how he died? I saw him recently on a rerun of an “Extreme Makeover-Home Edition” in which he was contributing some of his memorabilia for the Mom in the family.

Apparently it was a heart attack…sad, yes, I recently, just last week in fact saw a Doc/Biography TV show on his life, and he said though he never used drugs before a show or anything…He did down a lot of “Red Bull” have to wonder if it was a contributing factor. I commend you on your choice of boycotts…”Spooky Dude” George Soros has the final say in what is reported globally anyway.

Sad ..yeah, the Monkees, and Batman, were two shows my cousin and I made sure we raced one another home on our shared “Gift Pony” in time to return to watch.

Our Granny gave us a pony between the two of us…though we lived 5 miles apart…the “Pulp Wood” Truck drivers had a ball causing their trucks to back fire when they came down the road seeing us at full gallop…and watching him throw us both off in the ditch, or sprawling out onto the highway…But, hey, if Batman, or the Monkees was coming on…believe me… we always got the Paint back, and were both home in time for the show…
